HELP US TO HELP YOU fishing for a brighter future.

Welcome to our help page.

Many disabled Fly Fishers, experience difficulty in obtaining specialised equipment to aid them in taking up the sport of fly fishing, or continuing after becoming disabled.

We would like to hear from companies, retailers and individuals, with knowledge of disabled fishing equipment.

The object of asking for your help, is to build up a data base of manufacturers and suppliers world wide. We realise that some people, have adapted peices of fishing equipment to suit their own personal needs, we would like to hear from you too.

Please contact us if you use special or adapted equipment but only have the manufacturers name on the item, this is a starting point and will help in tracking it down. No matter how insignificant you feel the information is, we would like to hear about it.

Any special equipment you have found to help you could help others, so let us know.

Every little bit helps someone

We would also like information about suitable fishing venues around the world for disabled fly fishers.

Is your favourite fishery disabled friendly? Then let us have the details.

A couple of useful web sites just in:

www.disabledinfo.com

www.achievableconcepts.com.au One of our members Harry Heath recommends this site which caters for disabled sports people, and covers most of the popular sports and has quite a few items for fishermen, such as automatic reels etc... Harry purchased an item that straps onto your foearm to support the butt end of the rod and found this useful for not only supporting the rod but also casting. This site is worth looking at, but be aware that the prices are in Australian dollars.

Handicaped Anglers Trust have always worked closely with the E.D.F.F. and we are grateful for the continuing work they undertake. A full list of wheelyboat locations available at www.wheelyboats.org
