24TH OCT HELD AT EYEBROOK

This event was a great success, and thanks must go to Trevor Ashby and Jim Watts who organised yet another great EDFF day out. 27 anglers turned out for this event, all eager to get fishing. It was a very cold day and what seemed to be a difficult day for catching those fish! But everyone was a winner at this event all received a prize. First prize went to Danny Peet who caught 8 fish, second prize went to Roy Palmer with 6 fish, Third prize went to Ken Waters who caught 6 fish. Well done boys. On arrival back to the lodge the ladies had some Hot soup which was very welcoming along with some wonderful hot and cold buffet, many thanks to Pauline and all the ladies that helped. After everyone had a chance to warm through and have some food, the auction got under way. A huge thank you must go to all the people that donated. The Co-op who donated 6 huge lumps of beef, Richard a dealer in special fruits and vegetables who donated several boxes of exotic fruits, and hampers. Thank you to all our members that donated items of there own. The auction raised the club £450.00, all proceeds going directly into EDFF funds. Thanks to everyone who helped raise funds by taking part in the auction, and to Dawn and Andy who made a donation of £20.00. A special thank you to all the Eyebrook staff who are always there to help.
